Amazon Seller Central Access Authorisation Is Changing
Starting 8/10/2026, how Sellers delegate Seller Central access to your service is changing. A new, streamlined authorisation process will replace the current invite process. To ensure uninterrupted access for your service, verify and update your role coverage before 9/3/2026.
What’s changing on 8/10/2026?
We’re introducing a new authorisation experience for both Solution Provider Network (SPN) listed and non-listed services. On this date, we’ll retire the legacy multi-step delegation via the “invite process” and replace it with a streamlined experience for both Sellers and you.
For services listed on SPN after 8/10/2026, Sellers will have two new ways to delegate approved Seller Central roles for your service:
- Immediate Authorisation via the Authorise Now button on your SPN service listing, requiring your confirmation on the View All Requests page on Solution Provider Portal (SPP)
- Direct contact with your service via your SPN listing — upon your agreement, the Seller provides you authorisation
For services that aren’t listed on SPN after 8/10/2026, all delegation requires you to copy a unique authorisation link on the SPP homepage next to your service and share it directly with the Seller. The Seller will then use the link to grant your service the SPP-approved Seller Central roles.
On this date, we will retire the legacy multi-step delegation via the “invite process” and replace it with this streamlined experience for both Sellers and you.
Why verifying your role coverage matters
In September, Sellers will receive communication requiring them to reauthorise your service’s access to their Seller Central account through the new authorisation process. This process replaces all prior Seller Central access granted to you or your SPP-verified users, including:
- Seller Central access you or your SPP-verified users were granted to seller accounts as secondary users
- Seller Central access you or your SPP-verified users were granted as an authorised partner
When a Seller reauthorises, the new authorisation will only include the Seller Central roles your service is currently approved for on SPP. Roles you access today that aren’t part of your approved set won’t be included in the reauthorisation. Sellers that don’t take action to reauthorise by Amazon’s communicated deadline will see all existing access to their Seller Central account(s) expire.
There are two scenarios that can result in reduced access:
- Your approved roles don’t match what you use today → roles outside your approved set will not be included when Sellers reauthorise.
- A Seller doesn’t reauthorise by the deadline → all existing access to their account expires.
To retain full access to the roles your service uses, verify and update your role coverage before 9/3/2026.
How to verify your role access meets your service needs
- Log in to Solution Provider Portal.
- Verify your role coverage — review the Seller Central roles your service is approved for. Note that some Seller Central roles are designated for direct employees of sellers and aren’t available to service providers.
- Request additional roles — if your service requires additional Seller Central roles, submit your request by clicking Edit Service on the SPP homepage and resubmitting the Service Registration form.
How can I support Sellers?
- Verify your role coverage so Sellers can reauthorise without gaps.
- For reauthorisation guidance, direct Sellers to the step-by-step instructions provided in their email from Amazon.

Final Thoughts
The upcoming change to Seller Central access delegation is an important update for Amazon Solution Provider Services. Reviewing your approved roles before 9/3/2026 can help ensure that your service continues to receive the Seller Central access it needs after the new authorisation process takes effect.
Services should take action early, review their current role coverage, request any additional roles they need, and help Sellers understand the new reauthorisation process. Taking these steps before the deadline can help avoid unnecessary access gaps and ensure a smoother transition to Amazon’s new authorisation experience.
Thank you for being a part of the Amazon Solution Provider community.
